Naked in England?
The question was asked “Is it legal to be naked in England ?”.
The answer is that there is no law specifically against nudity in England. However, if it can be shown that you are getting naked specifically to cause offence or distress, there are laws to handle that.
Unfortunately, many people, including many police officers, are unaware of this and think that the “indecent exposure” law, which was repealed in the 1960s is still applicable.
The law varies in Scotland and NI.
